In a surprise turn, November has seen numerous projects come to completion. Last week I wrapped up my deck project, adding the last complex curved rails and stairway balusters (and just in time, as it is getting a little to soggy to work outdoors). I literally wrapped up the small picture frame I was working on and presented it to my wife for her birthday. There are still some minor touches to add, but I wanted her input on the final product. With that, the last elements will be done this week.
In addition, by Friday, I expect to deliver that last of the adirondack chairs I’ve been restoring off and on. The second—and last—rustic bench will be ready for the client by Thanksgiving day.
Cutting boards, heavily in demand for the holiday season, are an ongoing project, but I have a stack of six finished boards and two still in the clamps—well on-track to have them all finished before Christmas is upon us.
I’m finding a lot of extra workspace in the shop as all this lumber is converted into useful object and delivered to their new owners; it’s time for some more lumber and new projects.
